Emma has a blog!

Well, Emma has decided to blog also. She wants to write about her life and growing up with lots of brothers and sisters. Her blog name is immameier.blogspot.com. She and Mike named it, cute huh? I guess I have to accept that she is really growing up! In 8 short yrs she will 18 and preparing for college. How do you do that I wonder? My mom had to deal with that 9 times so far and still has 2 more left! I know we all hope the best for our children, I want Emma to be happy , successful, kind to others, and believe in herself! I am hoping that I am teaching her that everyday. She is a great kid and I just love her so! I am excited she is blogging, if only for the fact of journaling each day! I also think it will be interesting to see how she sees life and the craziness of Mike being in school and me babysitting.... wait maybe I do not want to know..... Well check it out and leave her a message if you get a chance!!

Sweet Boys

Tucker and Heston are such sweet boys, they found these stuffed animals on the grass near the street of a home and just loved them. They brought them home and were playing with them for quite some time. I found out that it was right in front of the house , I let them them know we were going to have to put them back where they found them. They were a little sad, but said okay. We took some pictures with them so they would not forget what they looked like. You can tell that they are loving them! Tucker then went and placed them on the rocks in the yard instead of near the curb where they were originally! He took the picture of the two animals on the rocks! They sat there for 4 days! We went there last night and they were gone... hopefully the little boys that live there play with them often! I am grateful that Tucker and Heston are so sweet and thoughtful! I am grateful to be their mom!

Monday Monday!

What a great day! We had Mason and Austin here today! We went to the park and took lots of pictures! The weather was gorgeous and sunny, I was actually comfortable, normally I am so cold! We came home and the kids played a bit, then on to craft and lunch!!! For craft we picked out our favorite pictures and made a frame. The kids did great, and seemed to really enjoy it. I love seeing their minds work and be creative. Heston got to visit Vinny at Aunt Beckys, he had a blast! Those two sweet boys look like little twins and they just play so well together! Becky came to drop off Heston and brought over some JEANS!! I am so excited about this because, well even though I am only 9 weeks pregnant, I am SHOWING! What is going on with that? No idea but I am glad for some jeans that fit now, I had the normal maternity jeans, she had cute ones that you can wear when you are little but showing a bit! Thank you Becky! Now tonight Mike has school, boooooo but the kids and I are eating yummy skillet, it is just leftover meat and potatoes cooked in a skillet with cheese, easy but oh so good! We are tye dyeing tomorrow so we will be venturing to the store in a bit! I am grateful for my family, these kids are the best!

Easter Weekend!

What a fun weekend so far and the week is looking great too! Friday we had friends over, which is always so fun. Saturday we had the easter bunny come and went to my moms for the annual easter egg hunt! 20 kids and 14 adults... crazy and amazing! The kids love it every year! We came home and got to watch conference, I love hearing from the leaders of our church. Makes me feel so much better about life in general! Mike had priesthood, so the kids and I watched a movie! Mike came home and we all fell asleep in the living room! We slept there the whole night! All 6 of us! Gee did my back hurt the next day! Sunday was fun, dinner at moms which was its fun crazy normalcy! The food was delicious and the people amazing! Mike and Kyle decided to play gay chicken... a game where you see who turns away first from kissing! Mike won and decided with all of everyones encouragement to try to get my dad to play! What ensued was a riot of laughter! Dad thought it was the stupidest game ever and why would you ever want to play that! Mike tried to get my mom to play and he lost! She just sat there and let him smooch her one! HA HA! We were all laughing so hard, then dad felt bad and decided to kiss all the brothers in law on the top of the head, this is totally normal, Mike asked for just a kiss on the cheek, dad relented and Mike turned at just the right time!! He almost got him! Dad reared back and said " I oughta!" We were all laughing so hard, you know the real belly laugh when your mouth is open and your cheeks and tummy hurt! It was such a fun night! We are so blessed to be in this family! I am extremely grateful to be part of the Abbott family!

Fun, Fun , Fun!

So today is wednesday, the kids have school and I am babysitting just Levi today! It is gorgeous outside , a big 55 degrees which feels heavenly!! I took the kids outside for a what was going to be just 20- 30 minutes and we ended up staying there for over an hour! I love it! Today the challenge is to find the time to play with the children, babysit , and clean the house... have you ever felt like every room needs to just be deep cleaned? That is where I am at! So I fed the kids lunch , put them down for naps and I am off to just get one room completed! We will see how it goes.... wish me luck!

Out of this world snickerdoodles

These are the greatest Snickerdoodles. They are moist and super soft!!! These are cookies that are great when baking with little hands around. Have your little ones wash their hands and have them roll the balls of dough in the cinnamon sugar coating! I hope you enjoy them as much as my family does!

Cookies:
1 Cup Butter
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 Eggs
2 3/4 Cup Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/4 tsp Salt

Topping:
3 TBS Sugar
3 tsp Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. For cookie dough mix the sugar and butter until nice and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Combine flour, soda and salt in a separate bowl and slowly add to butter mixture. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes in refrigerator. In a separate bowl combine the topping ingredients. Once dough is chilled roll 1 inch balls in the cinnamon and sugar mixture and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Cook 8-10 minutes making sure they do not over cook. Remove from pan and cool on a cooling rack."
