Fun with Yogurt!

Lucy decided to have some yogurt for a snack. This is a great idea, healthy, yummy and she does a really good job of eating it! Well, this time she had a little trouble! Lucy ended up in the bath after this one. Lucy had yogurt all over her! In hrt hair,on her tummy and even her legs! What a mess! I love how she tried to eat the yogurt on her tummy, DELICIOUS!!! Lucy is so sweet, she tried to clean it up herself with a little tissue. I just love this age when they are trying to do everything all by themselves! I know she is mine, so I am bias...... but she is just adorable!

Storm Trooper comes to visit!

We Have some great cousins that live really close to us, they really love star wars, just like Mikey and Tucker! Shawn is working on his storm trooper costume for the 4th of July and decided to test it out! The boys were thrilled when a real storm trooper came to visit! They have a little boy Damien who loves Darth Vadar, he found Mikeys little mask and we had a battle on our hands! Little Darth Vadar against a big storm trooper , then a Jedi and Darth! The boys really enjoyed getting their pictures with him and even Emma and Morrigan got in on the fun! Lucy was not too sure, but Mike was happy to see him! It was a fun evening, we are really blessed to have Shawn and Crystal in our lives! Family is wonderful!

Fun with Mikes friends!

Mike, Lucy and I went to dinner with some of his school friends, Sara, Dane,Elisabeth and Ryan! They are great! It was a great night out! Lucy got all dressed up! She was a little nervous about meeting some new people, as you can see from her hiding behind Mikes leg! His friends were great and so fun to be around! We had a lovely dinner at Salutes in downtown Racine. Great food and fun company! Lucy won all their hearts and as you can see by the end of the night she had warmed up to Elisabeth! Lucy even let Elisabeth hold her hand, as long as Mike held the other, I love the look on Lucys face! I was really happy to meet them! We can not wait to do it again!

Lots of fun!

Here are some fun pictures of the tye dying and the hanging out as a family! Vinny came over and had a ball, he is our sweet cousin and 3 just like Heston. We also played outside for a bit! The kids had a lot of fun as you can see! Mike really looks excited! The only problem was it was kinda chilly out, for Mike and I , we were freezing because our hands were in the water! The shirts looked really great at first, then we washed them and turned all of them this light marroon color! Better luck next time! I love how Lucy is holding her shirt! One of my favorite pictures! We had a lot of fun though! Lucy took the oppurtunity to run freely through the water! She was trying to be like Emma and Alex and tie her little shorts! We can not wait to so it again!

Morning!

Monday, Monday! I am hoping to get this updated! We did some fun stuff the last few days! We had a tyedying attempt! We learned a lot and the next try will be even better! We had a fun day at wal-mart... as fun as that place can be! We had a nice very windy picnic with the kids! Heston cried the whole time, it was too cold and too windy! Mike and I watched a movie, and that was really nice! Sunday, went to church, heard some great talks about tithing, came home, traded mikes car for this guys huge van! Had the missionaries over for dinner, found a little hair in the dinner, that was so humiliating! Then it was off to bed! Here we are ! I will go into further detail later,I have to run, kids need to be up and at em!

Exhaustion!

Okay, so I am pregnant , about 8.5 weeks and feeling like garbage. I am nauseous all the time and it is that bad kind, where you feel like at any given moment you could throw up! Not fun, and walking into the kitchen and serving or preparing food is just awful! I am feeling guilty for having no desire at all to cook! Last night was a late night with babysitting and after we cleaned up , I said joyfully to the kids "we are having cereal!" They were okay with it, they were hoping for tacos! Do any of you out there feel guilty for not doing it all? I know I babysit, so some people may not consider that a real job, however, at the end of the day when all the babysitting children are gone , I am tired! I feel like I need to figure out time to clean, shop, cook , sit down as a family and eat, and get my house organized, oh and play with my kids all in the 3.5 hours before it is time for bed! Weekends are busy with trying to do all the things I don't get done during the week! I think that this is how all working moms feel, I am wondering if that is right! Let me know!

Another thing, being pregnant with the sixth baby, things are popping out a lot faster! I feel like I am 4 months pregnant with the belly to prove it! I will post a picture and you can see! When I get pregnant about month 4 my ribs will start to hurt daily and all day at that! Guess what? They are starting to hurt now! Oh dear!!! Time for laying on the hard ground, this is the only way to make them feel better!

Kids are coming today for babysitting of course, it is thursday and everyone else is sleeping. I am hoping today is lots of fun, after 3 straight days of rain, the kids are stir crazy! I am stir crazy! I hope as I do everyday, that I love them all enough. I hope that they all know I am so glad they are here, babysitting and my own. I want them to have fun and look forward to each day and go home or go to bed with joy in their heart and the knowledge that today they were loved. My sister in law Cindy once told me that when a child does something wrong that all they need is to know you love them and forgive them. She told me that before I had any children and it really has stuck with me! We all make mistakes and we all just need to know that we are loved!

Okay, one last thing. I am going to start keeping track of what we eat! A lot of people have asked me how I do my menu and meals..... I will be posting my menu and then the reality of sticking to the menu! Hopefully it will be entertaining and maybe a little helpful! I also will be posting more of the recipes. Let me know if you think this will be something you would like to see!!!!! Make it your best day yet!

Coloring pages!

Well, rain again.... booooooo..... so here is todays craft! All the kids colored their great big pictures and got a sticker! They loved it and it kept them busy for about 40 min!! They had fun, Natalie colored her head but she is still just adorable! They were all very proud of their pictures!

Turtle Turtle!

Yesterday it rained ALL DAY! SO farewell to tye dying our planned craft... hello little turtles! We took egg cartons, cut them up and let the kids paint them, then glued pompoms on for little heads and googley eyes, last but least little tails finished off Mr.Turtle! The kids had fun, painting is always fun right? I helped Lucy make hers, apparently she does not like Mr. Turtle, as you can see in the pictures, she chewed off his little eyes! Then she was done with him! The kids played with them though and it was fun rainy day activity! We are hoping no rain for wednesday, we shall see!

Fun craft!

This craft was from Monday, we had Mason, Austin, Logan ( my nephew) and our children over for the day. It was the first day of spring break YAY!! So we decided to go to the park. We loaded everyone into the van, and set off! The children all voted for the wind point playground. So that is where we went, later on Emma was not happy about this. She was hoping the tether ball would still be up, alas they had taken it down for the week, she was not happy! We had lots of fun, the kids were doing a craft later on that consisted of making their own photo frames so we took a few pictures of each of the kids. I had all the kids put their feet in the sand for a fun together picture, you will notice we are missing a set of feet! Tucker had me paint his toes the night before and did not want anyone to see his GIRL feet! I was bummed I really wanted a picture of all the feet!~ Next time I suppose. Mikey also took some pictures for his talent for an upcoming talent show at his school, I love the one of his turtle, so cute. The kids had fun, only a few mishaps.... Tuckers feet and Lucy falling off the steps..... she is okay no worries! We had lots of fun though and can not wait to do it again! You can see in the picture Lucy at first was not too happy about the slide! She soon loved it though and cried when we left! The chaos of taking 8 kids to the park was worth the fun they had!
