Yesterday it rained ALL DAY! SO farewell to tye dying our planned craft... hello little turtles! We took egg cartons, cut them up and let the kids paint them, then glued pompoms on for little heads and googley eyes, last but least little tails finished off Mr.Turtle! The kids had fun, painting is always fun right? I helped Lucy make hers, apparently she does not like Mr. Turtle, as you can see in the pictures, she chewed off his little eyes! Then she was done with him! The kids played with them though and it was fun rainy day activity! We are hoping no rain for wednesday, we shall see!
What a neat idea! I'll have to remember this one and file it away for a future lesson plan :) The 3/4/5 yr olds in my class would LOVE it! Thanks for sharing!
